SUPPORTING SACRED HEART SCHOOL, NAIVASHA, KENYA DREAM FOR SOMETHING BETTER
A dream for something better, Wangari Ceclia
15 years of the Karuri School Project
Unbelievably, it is 15 years since Wangari returned to Kenya and opened the Sacred Heart Primary School, in buildings which were basic to say the least.
So many people have supported her and Wangari is visiting Northampton in May this year to thank and meet as many of them as possible-and of course to talk about the children and how we can continue the work.
Message from Wangari

“ I am really looking forward to meeting all of you my dear friends. You all mean so much to me. You have sacrificed a lot and put in so much effort to support my dream and help make a difference in the lives the orphans and destitute children in my country. I can never thank you enough for all you have done.
I also thank God for this amazing opportunity. I am truly grateful to each one of you for your unwavering support. I am beyond excited!
After coming to the UK I am embarking on a pilgrimage to Sacred places during this special year and will be joining other Kenyan religious people in Rome. Thank you for considering this visit worthwhile.
The visit comes after the end of term exams at the school. The children attended Mass recently in a nearby parish and were so excited because they were leading the Mass with songs and readings.
May God the Almighty Father guide us in all our plans and may everything be a success. I pray that I will be able to meet everyone- I get emotional when I think about it.”
Wangari’s UK Vist
We are currently arranging a programme of visits and talks for Wangari so keep a lookout in Churches or other venues for dates and times between 6th and 26th May.
